Advised IZICO (Egeria) in the acquisition of Daloon

Daloon is one of the leading manufacturers of spring rolls and other frozen ethnic food snacks in the Nordics, Germany and the UK. The company was founded in 1960 and has since 2003 been run by Hemming Van, the owner and son of the founder. Daloon’s products are primarily marketed to large retail chains and foodservice wholesalers and are produced at the company’s two production facilities in Denmark and the UK. In 2015, Daloon generated revenue of DKK 296m and had 190 employees

IZICO is one of Europe’s largest suppliers of both branded and private label frozen food products such as meat snacks, dough-based snacks and ethnic buffet snacks. Its products are marketed through a wide range of retailers as well as Food Service and Business-to-Business partners. The company is owned by the Dutch private equity firm Egeria and generated revenue of EUR 140m in 2015

The acquisition will strengthen IZICO’s product portfolio within frozen Asian snack foods and meat-free products and their position in the Nordics. The acquisition is in line with IZICO’s strategy of becoming the European market leader in frozen snack food products
